What this calculator does
This age calculator finds your exact age broken down into full years, months, and days — the same way age is recorded on official forms — rather than a rough estimate. It also shows your total days lived and a countdown to your next birthday, so you can calculate age from date of birth precisely, not approximately.
Worked example
Born on June 12, 1994, and checking your age on September 2, 2026: that's32 years, 2 months, and 21 days old, or 11,770 total days. Your next birthday falls on June 12, 2027.
Common mistakes
- Simple year subtraction. Subtracting birth year from the current year ignores whether your birthday has happened yet this year, which can overstate your age by one.
- Averaging days per year. Dividing total days lived by 365.25 approximates age but won't match the calendar-accurate years/months/days breakdown used on legal documents.
- Leap-day birthdays. If you were born on February 29, most calculations treat February 28 as your birthday in non-leap years.
