What this calculator does
This calculator adds your card's grace period to your statement closing date to find your payment due date — useful for making sure a payment clears in time to avoid interest charges or a late fee.
Worked example
A statement closing on September 2, 2026 with a standard 21-day grace periodhas a payment due date of September 23, 2026.
Common mistakes
- Assuming the grace period is the same across all cards. It varies by issuer — check your specific cardholder agreement rather than assuming the legal minimum applies.
- Expecting a grace period while carrying a balance. Many issuers only offer interest-free grace periods to customers who paid their previous balance in full.
- Paying at the last possible moment. Processing delays can make an on-the-deadline payment post late — pay a few days early for safety.
