What this calculator does
This calculator adds your trial length to its start date to find the exact day your free trial ends, and flags the day before as a safe cancellation deadline — so a card doesn't get charged the moment a trial converts to a paid subscription.
Worked example
A trial starting September 2, 2026 with a 14-day length ends onSeptember 16, 2026, so cancelling by September 15, 2026 avoids a charge.
Common mistakes
- Cancelling on the end date itself. Many services bill early in the day the trial ends — cancelling the day before is the safer margin.
- Assuming trial length is always in days. Some trials run "1 month" rather than "30 days," which can land on a slightly different date.
- Forgetting trials tied to a payment method. Even a $0 trial often requires a card on file, which will be charged automatically unless you cancel first.
