What this calculator does
This online tool counts the number of business days (Monday through Friday) in any month, for any year. It's commonly used for payroll planning, project scheduling, and estimating billable or working hours in a month.
Worked example
June 2026 has 30 calendar days. It starts on a Monday, giving it exactly 22 working days once the four full weekends are excluded.
Common mistakes
- Forgetting public holidays. This calculator only excludes weekends — subtract any holidays that fall on weekdays manually.
- Assuming every month has the same count. Working-day totals typically range from about 20 to 23 depending on the month's length and which weekday it starts on.
